We all love our dads, but sometimes life gets in the way and dates slip up on you — FAST. Scrounging around for a Father’s Day plan for Sunday? Check out these 5 last-minute options to celebrate.
Grab lunch or dinner at Reid’s Fine Foods

Reid’s at SouthPark will be offering a special Father’s Day menu between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. that will include a choice of appetizer, protein, sauce, two sides and a dessert for a set price per protein.

Enjoy brunch at the NASCAR Hall of Fame
400 E M.L.K. Jr Blvd.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame will be hosting their annual Father’s Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This exciting morning will include an all-inclusive brunch, a complimentary family photo and a first look of the NASCAR Hall of Fame’s next exhibit. The meal will feature a beef tenderloin carving station, scrambled eggs, sausage, roasted potatoes, fresh-cut fruit, and a selection of pastries and muffins and dessert. The cost is $45 for adults, $35 for ages 3-12 and free for 2 and under.
Head to Dad’s Day Out at Legion Brewing
1906 Commonwealth Ave.
Legion Brewing will be hosting a family- and dog-friendly event called Dad’s Day Out on Saturday, from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m in their parking lot. Legion will be grilling out while guests can enjoy live music from the Toleman Randall Band, check out local vendors and play corn hole. Legion will also be releasing a special version of their popular IPA, Juicy Jay, with mangoes, available on Saturday only! This is a free event, however guests should expect to pay for food and beer, with hot dogs and burgers ranging from $3-$4.50.)
Grab beers at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery

On Saturday and Sunday, OMB will be hosting a two-day event called Father Fest in their Biergarten. Both days will include fresh beer, live music and delicious food from Brauhaus (including specials just for Dad). Saturday will be a day for Dad and younger kids as the Discovery Place will visit from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and host Tyrannosaurus Rex themed activities. Sunday will be a day centered around promoting men’s health and will offer free men’s health screenings from Pints for Prostates. These screenings will look for serious issues including the warning signs of prostate cancer, heart disease and diabetes.
Have some fun at Bulla Gastrobar

Newly-opened Bulla Gastrobar will be offering Dad a fun game to play during brunch or dinner. On Sunday between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. guests are encouraged to solve a crossword puzzle that, if completed successfully will result in the delicious prize of an order of churros.
