Whether you are new to ballet or have been a patron for years, “Inspired Works” will leave you feeling uplifted and energized. Experience the beauty of the ballet in this three-night only performance as Charlotte Ballet honors Director Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux for his 20 years of artistic leadership before he retires at the end of the 2017/2018 season. The show continues Friday and Saturday.

Different sport, same ritual! Come tailgate, chill and cheer on the Charlotte Roller Girls as they use speed, strategy and athleticism to fend off the other team. Not many are familiar with the cultish sport that is the Roller Derby. With retro vibes, fierce competition and all the luxuries of more mainstream sporting events (yeah, we’re talking tailgating and beer), an outing to watch The Charlotte Roller Girls (CLTRG) will definitely be an experience to remember. This Saturday: CLTRG vs. Rogue Rollergirls.

(4) Shop local at the Vintage Charlotte Summer Market

Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free. Camp North End, 1776 Statesville Ave.
