First Look: Deejai Thai Noodle Bar opens Friday
When it comes to ordering Thai food in the Queen City, you may think of Deejai Thai in the heart of Myers Park. Luckily for us, the restaurant is about to open a second location – with a twist. The eatery will be a noodle bar concept and will be the first business to open in NoDa Street Market with a soft opening this Friday at 11 a.m. Welcome to Charlotte, Deejai Thai Noodle Bar…
“We’re trying to bring traditional food from Thailand that doesn’t already exist in America,” said co-owner Jai Budsri.
You can expect Thai street food like pink noodle soup, sushi, poke bowls, noodles and more starting at $9.
Sake will be a big deal here. In the upcoming months, they will even have saketini – which is sake mixed with liquor. (Brace yourselves.)
The restaurant will hold 120 people inside and outside on the patio.
I’m glad I’ve solidified where I’m getting lunch on Friday.
