Let’s get this out of the way first: Fall is not my favorite season. (I’m more of a spring/summer guy.) But even I have to admit there are a lot of great things about fall in Charlotte: festivals, Panthers football, apple picking and the cooler weather, just to name a few.

On this week’s CharlotteFive Podcast, Sallie Funderburk, Richard Brooke and I ranked our favorite things about fall in Charlotte. Listen here:

There was some controversy (namely Richard disagreeing with Sallie’s rankings) and there were some hot takes about Thanksgiving (from me) but together we compiled a solid list of the best things about fall in Charlotte.

Some examples:

– The Charlotte Renaissance Festival, which runs through Nov. 19 in Huntersville.

– The Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade, which winds through Uptown Nov. 23.

– And the Cleveland County Fair, where you can enjoy the Ferris wheel and Ackmonster’s Chainsaw Art (???) through Oct. 8.
