Are you ready for the Charlotte Knights Baseball season? Time for the Knights Thirsty Thursday kick-off party. This marks the official start of the Ink N Ivy-sponsored Thirsty Thursdays at Charlotte Knights BB&T Ballpark. Expect awesome drink specials, ticket giveaways and live music by Late Night Speciall on the patio.

(2) Toast to a Food Network TV Premier at Fud at Salud

Join Fud at Salud for a watch party as they are featured on “Diners, Drive Ins and Dives” on The Food Network. Bonus: Saturday marks the five-year anniversary of Salud Beer Shop, with a party starting at 5 p.m.

(3) Cheers at OMB’s 8th Anniversary Party

11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday. Free. Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, 4150 Yancey Road

OMB turns 8 on March 25, Charlotte born and brewed. Get fresh brews and the release of the Anniversary Alt, which releases each year on their anniversary. It’s like an amped up Copper: rich in flavor and more complex.

(4) Attend CLT’s First Queen’s Coop Tour

Copying popular events in Raleigh and Austin, Queen’s Coop is a one-day Free Range tour of CLT’s coolest coops. This event will educate visitors about chicken nutrition, the benefits of organics and non GMO products as well as provide a forum for tips on all things chicken.

(5) Revel in the beauty of the Banff Mountain Film Festival

The Banff Mountain Film Festival highlights an exhilarating set of films that explore the mountain world, featuring new landscapes, remote cultures and exposing audiences to adrenaline-packed sports. Right after the festival, held every fall in Banff, Alberta, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour starts to travel the globe with stops in about 450 communities and 40 countries.
