C5 Podcast: The Knights celebrate 30 years, plus our ultimate Charlotte bachelor(ette) parties

Spring officially started last week, but it really gets going next Thursday when the Charlotte Knights play their season opener at home in uptown’s BB&T Stadium.

The Knights are celebrating their 30th year of baseball in the Charlotte area, so we had the team’s director of PR, Tommy Viola, on the CharlotteFive Podcast this week to talk about what you can expect this season.

Viola talked about the history of the team and a little baseball. But he also talked about new food offerings, Bark in the Park, fireworks and that beautiful — and changing — skyline view from the stadium.

Viola, right.

The Charlotte Knights play their season opener at home April 6 at 7 p.m.

Also on this week’s podcast:

Sarah and I laid out our ideal Charlotte bachelor(ette) weekends, inspired by this story from Katie Toussaint. They were, unsurprisingly, very different. But they both included fast food biscuits and the EpiCentre.

Let us know what you think of our ideal weekends and share your perfect bachelor/bachelorette weekends in the comments or on Twitter.
