Plan ahead with these 5 Easter brunch options
Celebrating Easter Sunday April 16? At some point it’s time to put down the giant Godiva bunny and get some real food in your system. Brunch is always a top-notch option, especially if you have family coming into town.
Consider these five local spots for reservations, and for different vibes:
For a pizza option: WP Kitchen + Bar
Executive chef Stephen Schmitt is whipping up Easter brunch 11 a.m.-2 p.m. His menu will feature items like beignets, shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, smoked salmon Benedict, and a sausage and vegetable frittata. Bonus: Try the potato + egg pizza with tomato sauce, red onion, roasted peppers and bacon.

For the buffet: Reid’s Fine Foods
Reid’s at SouthPark should be your stop if you’re craving an Easter brunch buffet. Load up your plate with items like Jonah crab claws, smoked seafood salad and spiral sliced ham from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Meanwhile, Reid’s Myers Park will serve its regular brunch menu from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Think huevos rancheros, bananas foster French toast, biscuits and gravy, and more.

For serving stations: Dean & DeLuca Phillips Place
If serving stations are your style, you’re in luck. Dean & DeLuca will be loaded up with a carving station, cold seafood station, omelette station and waffle station. Dine on lobster kale salad, a platter of bagels with smoked salmon, challah brioche French toast and more. The cost is $40 for adults and $15 for kids under 12. 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

For elegance: Vivace
Not sentimental about the Easter Bunny? Dine on rabbit at Vivace, braised and served with salmorejo (a puree of bread, tomatoes and garlic), rainbow chard and fingerling potatoes. You can also opt for dishes like lamb chops with blackberry mostarda, garlic polenta cakes and Parmesan, and French toast with lemon ricotta stuffing, blueberries and Applewood bacon.
Main courses are $16. Antipasti menu items like calamari and Brussels sprouts are $8. Or guests can pay $30 for a first and second course, plus the Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar.
The Easter brunch menu will be served Saturday, April 15, and Sunday, April 16, beginning at 10 a.m.

For a casual vibe: Namastay Kitchen and Hangout
Namastay Kitchen will be serving up some mainstay brunch items from the usual menu such as crispy Brussels sprouts, the Notorious B.E.C. (with two eggs over easy, avocado, house-made white pimento cheese and pecan wood bacon on brioche) and a beet burger. Plus, there will be a special Benedict whipped by Chef Stephen Armstrong.
