Botanical gardens – Explore the campus’s three gardens and McMillan Greenhouse. The gardens are meant to inspire ideas for your own garden. They feature native and non-native plants, hardscape and different styles of gardens.

In an outdoor adventure – Hike, camp, raft or climb with Venture, the campus outdoor recreation department. Customized team-building and challenge courses are available for corporate and non-profit groups. Costs vary. 704-687-0697.
In a run or walk – Sign up for the 49er Gold Rush 5K in February. Proceeds benefit a UNC Charlotte scholarship program.
Vote – UNC Charlotte’s Cone Center is an early voting site Oct. 27-Nov. 5. It is sponsored by the 49er Democracy Experience.
