Impress your guests with this super simple Thanksgiving cocktail from Bob the Bartender

Don’t expect to find bartender Bob Peters reigning over the Charlotte beverage scene from his usual perch behind The Punch Room bar on Thanksgiving. He’s skipping town and heading to the North Carolina mountains with his wife, daughter and various relatives.

After all, he said, it’s his all-time favorite holiday because it’s all about family and food. (Cheers to that.)

On his gratitude list: “I am most thankful for the people of Charlotte,” Peters said. “We are a strong, loving, diverse community of beautiful individuals. No matter what challenges we face I know we will always come out on top when we work together. I am very proud to be from Charlotte and I love our city.”

On CharlotteFive’s gratitude list: Peters’ cocktail recipe, the Austin Cider, for our Thanksgiving celebrations.

“This is a super simple recipe that is delicious and even your pickiest guest will enjoy,” he said. “The apple will also pair well with your turkey and all of your favorite sides.”

Let’s make some Austin Cider
