As 2016 draws to a close (na na na na hey hey heyyyy goodbyeeeeeee) there will be plenty of New Year’s Eve parties in full swing all over Charlotte to help you start 2017 off strong. No matter what kind of vibe you’re looking for, what neighborhood you want to be in, or how much you’re willing to spend, there’s a celebration that aligns with your New Year’s vision. Get ready to have a glass of champagne in hand and some of those goofy 2017 glasses adorning your face when the ball drops.

Whisky River Royal Ball
It’s a celebration fit for a queen or king at Whisky River in the Epicentre this New Year’s Eve. General admission is $25, or if you’re feeling extra regal, spend $200 and get a booth. Your ticket gets you admission into the party, a champagne toast at midnight, and party favors. Don’t forget to hop on your royal steed (the mechanical bull) while you’re there. 14th Annual Back to the Future Bash at Roxbury
Tickets are $20 before Dec. 27 and $25 after, and get you party favors, a champagne toast at midnight, and access to four bars, multiple dance floors, and $5 Marty McFly shots and $5 mixed drinks. But let’s be serious, the cost of an evening of endless nostalgia? Priceless.
CLT New Year’s Eve presented by Ally
If you’re not into long lines and throwing elbows to find a corner of the bar where you and your crew can hang out, this party at Romare Bearden is what you’ve been searching for. Enjoy live music and fireworks, and it’s totally free. The celebration goes from 8 p.m. to midnight.
New Year’s Eve at Flight

New Year’s Eve House Party at Angry Ale’s
Angry Ale’s Montford location is putting on an affordable New Year’s Eve bash. A $10 ticket gets you access to the party, which features a DJ, party favors, and a champagne toast. If dancing’s not your thing and you’d rather keep track of the football games, the bar’s numerous TVs will have you covered. Get your tickets here.
New Year’s Eve Celebration at Murphy’s Kitchen & Tap
Take advantage of an open bar and buffet, plus a champagne toast at midnight. Snag your tickets before Dec. 25 to get the early bird discount and pay $75. Post-Dec. 25 you’re paying $100. The party begins at 8 p.m. and ends at 1 a.m.
Rich and Bennett’s NYE Bash
You love their St. Patty’s Day pub crawl, now join Rich and Bennett on New Year’s Eve at Prohibition. The ticket includes top-shelf liquor, beer, wine, champagne, a balloon drop, a DJ, plus free tickets to their 2017 St. Pat’s and Halloween bar crawls. For $75, that’s a good deal. Brew Year’s Eve at Sycamore Brewing
What’s better than grilled cheese, beer and live music? Not much. Tickets to Brew Year’s Eve at Sycamore Brewing are $30 and get you all of that. Your ticket includes two beers, food from the Papi Queso truck and access to a heated tent so you can spread out without freezing. If beer isn’t your thing, sip on a glass of champagne instead. Get your tickets in the Sycamore Brewing taproom.
New Year’s Eve at Fitzgerald’s
Your ticket gets you top-shelf liquor, plus beer, wine and champagne, and a breakfast buffet. There’ll be a DJ, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. If you don’t want to fight to get an Uber on your way home, pick a DD and park in the Wake Forest garage. They’ll validate your parking from 5 p.m. until 3 a.m. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased here.
New Year’s Eve Under the Stars at Rooftop 210
Celebrate with an amazing view under a comfortable heated tent. There will be a DJ, a buffet and an open bar. Hop in the photo booth and snap some pictures to commemorate the night. The event goes 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Tickets are $80 — get yours here.

NYE Party Uptown at 8.2.0
There will be a DJ and a massive dance floor, plus a buffet and karaoke, so come prepared to show off your pipes. A champagne toast will happen at midnight. Tickets are $90. Get them here.
Len-NYE-Ve Dance Party at Lenny Boy Brewing
If you’re seeking out a low-key vibe this New Year’s Eve, Lenny Boy is the place to go. They’ll have live music from Aarodynamics, food from A Bao Time food truck, $4 champagne and $15 pitchers, plus New Year Kombucha, beer, and wild ale releases. There’s no cover and the dress code is BYOPP (Bring Your Own Party Pants). Yesssss. The festivities go until 1 a.m.
Southern Skyline Grand Ball at Le Méridien
Head to Le Méridien for what is being billed as the “largest New Year’s Eve celebration in the Southeast.” The Skyline Grand Ball runs from 9 p.m.-2 p.m. and features four stages with local and regional music groups like Funk You & The Funk Brotherhorns, The Vagabonds and more to be announced. General admission is $130 includes “premium” drinks and access to three of the four stages. A $180 ticket gets you access to the fourth VIP stage and “top-shelf spirits and signature cocktails,” and if you don’t feel like driving home you can get the $400 VIP Hotel Package that includes two VIP tickets and a room — and a bottle of champagne.
