Keep Pounding … those doughnuts.

We recently told you that you can get cheap Krispy Kreme doughnuts when the Carolina Panthers win.

Well, Monday you can get them for extra cheap — as in free.

Krispy Kreme will be giving away free doughnuts to Panthers fans uptown Monday ahead of the team’s home playoff game.

Details:

– A mobile store will be at the corner of West Trade and South Tryon from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

– The company will also be collecting donations for Carolina Panthers CHarities, which provides grant-funding to nonprofit agencies in the region that serve youth through education, health and wellness, and other services

– Don’t expect any players to show up, but Purrcussion (the drum line) is scheduled to appear from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and Sir Purr will likely show up at some point.

– Oh, and a spokeswoman said that even non-fans can grab a free doughnut Monday. I wouldn’t recommend wearing the jersey of the Panthers playoff opponent, though.

Congrats, Wooden Robot Brewery.

The relatively new Charlotte brewery was named to Beer Advocate magazine’s “Class of 2015 — 33 of the Best New Breweries.” The only other N.C. brewery to make the list was Zebulon Artisan Ales in Weaverville. (Yeah I don’t know where that is either.) More than 1,000 craft breweries opened last year.

Tower torn down.

Earlier this week, crews began dismantling the 142-foot Belk Tower on UNC Charlotte’s campus. For 45 years, the monument towered above a site for free speech and solidarity. Deterioration made the tower unsafe, the chancellor said, but some students still protested the demolition. Now the UNCC community has a chance to plan a new focus for the area.

Be heard. Shape Charlotte. Get paid.

A local organization wants you to take a survey to help it decide how it can make Charlotte a better place. But this organization doesn’t want you to know who they are. (Don’t worry — it’s not some big bad evil organization.) If you want to help, today is the final day you can take the survey here and be entered into a raffle for a $250 Visa gift card. Your odds of winning that are probably better than for the huge Powerball jackpot everybody’s talking about.

Mila has been found!

Jasmine Jordan, Michael Jordan’s daughter, has been reunited with her lost dog. A family in another city took the dog in thinking it was lost. The power of social media.
