Beat the heat with a pass at one of these Charlotte pools
When it’s this hot and you want to be outside, you have to be in the water. Growing up on Long Island, despite the short season, many people had some sort of pool in their backyard – three- or 4-foot above ground pools were the norm. (I know some of you are having a happy moment remembering those days, while others are cringing.)
When I moved to Charlotte, I noticed that the pool culture was different. Swimming is not only for cooling off, but is also a time to be social – a place to meet up with friends and other families. There are more community and neighborhood pools for people to join in the South.
What did this Northerner do? When in Rome…we joined a pool.
