– Plaza Midwood record store Lunchbox Records announced it will be moving in 2016 after 10 years in its current location. The new spot, just a half mile up the road at 825 Central Ave., offers more space (for more records), a bigger stage area (for live shows), a dedicated parking lot, and a bike rack.

– The Panthers are 6-0 for the first time in franchise history after a 27-16 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football, prompting this great tweet from the Panthers Twitter account.

– As the Panthers keep winning, the tailgates keep growing. According to this Katherine Peralta story in the Observer, Americans spend an average of $196 per tailgate. In Charlotte, the Roaring Riot budgets about $2,000 for each tailgate party.

– Court transcripts related to the shooting death of Jonathan Ferrell show that, much like the jury, law enforcement was divided on whether to charge CMPD officer Randall Kerrick with voluntary manslaughter. Read more in this Observer report.
