#FollowFriday: A sampling of Charlotte’s photography talent
As any CharlotteFive groupie knows, we have been having a grand old time with the Scene/Seen series spearheaded by our photographer Remy Thurston. The photo above comes from the first installment.
I love the idea that common scenes around town are worth capturing. I love the idea that the people in them are, too. But what about the people behind the lens?
Let’s use this space to capture a sampling of Charlotte’s most talented photographers — and what they’ve seen:

Favorite photo he’s captured: “I was on tour with a wrestling federation in China for two weeks recently. I got some great shots over there.”

Favorite photo she’s captured: “The reason I’ve chosen this photo of Julia and Angus Stone at the music festival Lollapalooza was not just the image, but the experience behind it … The composition, setting and this brother and sister duo were wonderful and sweet to work with, making the creation of the image effortless. As a photographer, you can’t ask for anything better.”

Favorite photo he’s captured: “Sunrise is my favorite time of day. Especially when it comes to car racing. This scene from the 24 hours of Le Mans signals that we’re about halfway through the race. The stunning colors, mixed with the blur of race cars and the epic noise they produce always gives me goosebumps.”

Favorite photo she’s captured: “One from a styled shoot this past month. It’s my favorite right now because I feel that it is the best representation of our style at Click Away. We love when our clients feel like they are straight out of a fairytale and this styled shoot brought that message across flawlessly.”

Favorite photo he’s captured: “A few months ago I spent some time at Oehler farm off of the newly opened portion of I-485 for Charlotte magazine. (Larry) was talking to me about what it was like growing up there. … He took the moment to reflect and allowed me to be a part of it. I stepped back to snap a few frames and we moved on.”
And of course let’s not forget our C5 photographer while we’re at it …

Favorite photo he’s captured: “A raspberry pastry. It was the first photo I ever took that I realized that the giant risk I had taken to quit my 9-to-5 was worth it. It was from the first shoot I did on my own.”
