It’s almost time for hometown dates on ‘The Bachelor.’ Did Duke grad Zoe get a rose?
And just like that, there’s only a few weeks left on this season of ”The Bachelor” with a Duke University graduate among the few women left hoping to find love on the hit reality show.
After weeks of romantic dates and rose ceremonies, Monday night’s episode started with only seven contestants left hoping to secure that final rose — including 27-year-old Zoe McGrady.
But did she make it far enough — and survive the ongoing drama with other women — to get a chance to introduce The Bachelor to her friends and family?
Spoiler alert: Here’s a recap of Monday night’s episode and who made it to the final four ahead of hometown dates.
From Madrid to Scotland
After spending time in Madrid, Zoe and the remaining women spent their last week as a group in Edinburgh, Scotland.
With hometown dates approaching, she was hoping that she would finally get a one-on-one date with Grant. She was the only one of the remaining women who hadn’t had the coveted exclusive date with Grant.
So she felt “absolutely devastated” when she learned that a group date was in the cards — again.
“I’m the only person not to get a one-on-one. Of course. That’s the life of Zoe … and at this point, it’s embarrassing,” she tearfully said to producers.
Who got the final solo dates of the season? Juliana and Litia again.
Last group date of the season
Going into their group date, designed as a traditional Scottish fair, Zoe tried to put her emotions aside.
“I was hoping for some one-on-one time but one of the characteristics that I have is I’m going to make the most of everything I’m given,” she said behind the scenes. “Also, because it’s the week before hometowns I’m trying to be a little optimistic.”
But it wouldn’t be a Bachelor group date without a bit of drama ... so it wasn’t long before things took a turn. With so little time left before the women could potentially introduce Grant to their families, just about everyone was on edge
Some of the women, including Zoe, became frustrated when Grant noticed how upset Carolina was and split off from the group to talk to her privately. Carolina became the source of tension for the rest of the day, with most of the women not able to get alone time with Grant.
“I feel like I’m being a fool for someone else’s love story,” she told Alexe.
It didn’t help that the group date was cut short due to weather — but as Zoe put it, “What a foreshadow for tonight’s cocktail party on what trouble might unfold.”
Though she went into the evening with mixed emotions, Zoe and Grant seemed to be back on the same page quickly once she brought up her hesitations and bluntly told him she had considered packing her bags to go home.
“We started off really strong but from that point, I was questioning and wondering. After our last conversation, I felt like you really opened up to me and I don’t take that for granted at all,” he told her.
“I’m still in the process of making decisions and this is hard. And I do feel bad that you haven’t had one-on-one time yet but I will say that all it takes is one conversation. I’d rather us have this conversation now because I feel like I’m starting to see you and that’s what I want. That’s what really makes me see a wife...”
Who got hometown date roses?
After giving roses to Litia, Juliana and Dina, Zoe got the final rose of the night.
Who got eliminated and did not receive a rose?
Of the seven remaining women, here’s who did not receive a rose:
- Alexe
- Carolina
