‘The Pitt’ star has diagnosis: The Panthers have what it takes to win next year

Patrick Ball, one of the stars of the NBC medical drama “The Pitt,” is feeling optimistic about the Carolina Panthers’ future.

In a recent interview on Stew and the Crew, hosted by former Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart, Ball pointed to what he sees as meaningful progress within the organization, especially at quarterback, and said he believes the team has the foundation to take a step forward next season.

“I mean, I think we got a bunch of good things going for us,” Ball said. “I believe in Bryce, and the steps that he made this last year are incredible.”

Ball, a North Carolina native, praised quarterback Bryce Young’s development, comparing his growth to a more composed, decision-making presence on the field.

“We see him tap in to be that savvy point guard that we need him to be,” he said.

Beyond Young, Ball also highlighted the supporting cast he believes can help push the Panthers forward, referencing both established and emerging playmakers.

“We got Tet out there,” Ball said, referring to wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan. “It’s tough to have a favorite Panther. But Jalen Coker, he’s my guy.”
