Coaltrane’s is now open in Plaza Midwood and it’s time to celebrate with a Super Spicy Day Party. First 50 guests get free chicken for a year. Live music, beer samples, food samples and more.
(3) Pig Out at SausageFest
Saturday, 3-7 p.m. $25+. JJ’s Red Hots, 1514 East Blvd.
JJ’s is closing down the parking lot for SausageFest 2017. You don’t need Kobayashi’s appetite to enjoy this afternoon of gourmet sausages and craft beer. A ticket gets you an 8 oz. tasting glass and a variety of sausages to taste.
(4) Show Big Love for the Tiny Stage Concerts Songwriter Showcase
Sunday, 4 p.m. Free. Free Range Brewing, 2320 N. Davidson St.
TinyStage is all about showcasing incredibly talented Charlotte artists who perform original songs in great locations. Head to Free Range Brewing to hear great music and enjoy great beer. Dan Anderson, Michael Wayne Avery and Raymond Franklin of Rock Hill will be featured.
(5) Chill Out at Front Porch Sunday in South End
Sunday, noon. Free. 2151 Hawkins St.
Front Porch Sunday is the best way to spend a nice Sunday afternoon in Charlotte. Hang out with sweet tunes, food trucks, cold beer and tons of local vendors to browse.
