26.2 miles later: 145 Charlotteans finish Boston Marathon
It was a little wet, a little windy and a little cold, but these are marathoners, and this was Boston, and there was a famous road race to run Monday.
More than 30,000 runners – including nearly 150 from the Charlotte area – toed the line for the 119th Boston Marathon, which covers 26.2 miles and spans eight towns and cities on its way from Hopkinton, Mass., to the state capital.
