(1) Listen up at Final Draught speaker series.
Thursday, 6-8 p.m. $10 7th Street Public Market, 224 East 7th St.
Final Draught is a speaker series put on by the Friends Council to Benefit the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation. This week hear an expert panel discuss the evolving food culture in the QC.
(2) Tickle your taste buds at Taste of Charlotte.
Friday-Sunday. Free, but you must buy tokens to taste. Tryon Street uptown.
For one weekend, Taste of Charlotte takes of Tryon St. in Uptown Charlotte. With over 100 area restaurants participating, live entertainment, interactive tours, street performances and street shopping, there’s a little something for every type of foodie.
(3) Kick It With Cam for a cause.
Friday, 12:30 p.m. $5. Memorial Stadium, 310 N. Kings Drive.
Come watch Cam Newton, fellow Panthers and some celeb friends compete against business and community leaders in a celebrity kickball tournament. Proceeds benefit the Cam Newton Foundation.
(4) Cheers to two years at Red Clay Ciderworks.
Saturday, noon-11 p.m. Free. 245 Clanton Road.
Red Clay Ciderworks is entering its terrible twos and they want to celebrate with you. Red Clay will celebrate with special release ciders all throughout the day, plus live music and good grub.
(5) Celebrate 3.5 Years of Good Beer with Unknown Brewing.
Saturday, 2-10 p.m. $10. 1327 S. Mint St.
Celebrate Unknown Brewing’s 3.5 anniversary with a music festival, great beer, food trucks and Cigar Row! Try one of Cigar Row’s beer infused cigars and Unknown’s new Geuze inspired Lambic Ale, “3.5ish.”
