What a local doctor has learned from NFL athletes

OrthoCarolina

– 9% of NFL players injure their ACL – anterior cruciate ligament – within 2 years of getting drafted

– 16% of college football players injure their ACL

– One out of every nine skiers will tear their ACL

If are un-athletic, like myself, you at least know someone who has an epic story about how they tore their ACL and the distinctive “POP” they hear.

Often surgery followed by rehab is necessary when that happens. To prevent ACL tears, Dr. Connor suggests working on core strength, exercising with proper form and building strength.
