The Story
Carowinds is auctioning off seats on the first three trips of its mega new roller coaster, The Fury 325. All proceeds will benefit the Cam Newton Foundation, which helps disadvantaged youth.
The coaster, Fury 325
– When it opens, will be among world’s top 10 fastest roller coasters
– Top speed: 95 mph
– 325 feet tall
– Hornet-themed design to “simulate the wild, daring and spontaneous flight of the hornet”
– Three 32-passenger trains
– Trip includes 30-story hill that plummets almost directly down and an underground dive
– Made of 6,602 feet of track
