5 reasons you should actually go to the ACC Championship game on Saturday
If you’re a college football fan, chances are your team is at home this weekend with nothing to play for, waiting to hear what crappy bowl game they’ll be sent to (Hello, Shreveport!). But, if you live in Charlotte and don’t want to spend Saturday going to brunch, doing yard work or getting Christmas shopping done, there’s a pretty big game at Bank of America Stadium.

(1) Jameis Winston and the Seminoles are in Charlotte.
– FSU hasn’t lost a football game since November 24, 2012.
– FSU won the national championship last year.

– The Yellow Jackets have won five straight, including last week’s win over rival Georgia in Athens.
– GT averages just over 37 points a game.
– GT rushes the ball for about 334 yards per game. That’s 231 yards more than the Panthers.
(3) The game should be close.
– FSU has made a habit out of laying an egg in the first half of games and turning things on when they absolutely have to.
– This makes for incredible drama, especially now when a conference title is on the line, and for FSU, a College Football Playoff berth.
– FSU has won six games by 6 points or less this season.
– The GT offense is a pain to prepare for, checkout their triple option offense.
– Vegas lines have FSU favored by 3.5.
(4) You can sit back and watch great football, stress-free, on the cheap.
– These aren’t the Panthers.
– This isn’t your team.
– You can save your fingernails.
– Stubhub and Ticketmaster both have tickets starting at $37 (or scalp on Saturday).
(5) It’s a great excuse to tailgate.
– Grilling in December makes you look cool. Is that grill smoke or your breath? It’s both, baby.
