ROCKSALT opens at Park Road Shopping Center
ROCKSALT quickies:
- Head Chef is Jay Pierce (previously at Lucky 32 in Greensboro). He’s legit. Jay is from Louisiana and has worked at 2 of Emeril’s restaurants.
- Owner is Travis Croxton via his Rappahannock Oyster Co.
- The first ROCKSALT was opened in Charlottesville, VA. Charlotte is the second location.
- The restaurant is located in the old dry cleaner location in the back of Park Road Shopping Center (behind Michael’s).
- Official opening is Friday February 20th. Reservations here.
- View the menu here. I recommend the oysters and crab cakes.

ROCKSALT Owner & Chef:
Quick thoughts: Amazing location (walkable for many Myers Park peeps). Outside patio will kill it when the weather is nice. Pricey. Crab cakes were tasty and juicy. Could have eaten 20 oysters. The cocktail-type red sauce was delicious. Enjoyed my wood table and the intimacy to the kitchen.
