Concert pianist Jonathan Dimmock’s Organ at Davidson is happening one night only in a special free performance. This concert will feature music from American composers, a brother-sister duet between Jonathan and his sister Jane Cain, and an opportunity to meet the pianist after the show. 7:30 p.m. 100 N. Tuesday

Want to learn how to dance? Try a Free Latin Line Dance Class with the Charlotte Ballet. Try different dance styles such as Salsa, Merengue and Bachata in a fun class appropriate for all levels and ages. 6 p.m. 1000 Johnson Dr., Pineville. Free admission.

Wednesday

Meet hundreds of passionate young professionals and learn about how to get involved in community organizations making an impact in the Charlotte area at the 5th Annual Charlotte Young Professional Mixer. Celebrate the life of jazz great Billie Holiday at opening night of Lady Day at Emerson Bar and Grill. This play depicts one of the last performances that Holiday gave before her death while paying tribute to her life, experiences and contributions to American music history. 7:30 p.m. 2132 Radcliffe Ave. $28.
