How you can win free tickets this weekend to the sold out PGA Championship
If you’re looking to buy tickets to the championship rounds of the PGA Championship in August at Quail Hollow Club, well, you’re out of luck — those tickets sold out months ago.
But here’s the good news: There’s still a chance for you to win some tickets to the tournament this weekend. All you have to do is find them.
The PGA Championship will have a scavenger hunt this weekend and at each stop they’ll be giving away tickets to the sold-out tournament. That’s right — all you have to do is be the first to find the tickets and you’ll be headed to the tournament this summer.
Here’s how it works:
– The scavenger hunt starts around 10:30 a.m. Sunday and there will be six stops at iconic Charlotte landmarks that day. There will be one more stop Monday, starting around 1 p.m. (The Monday giveaway is the big one — more details below.)
– Follow the PGA Championship on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat (pgachampionship) for photo clues for where to find the PGA officials with their official Mercedes-Benz and the Wanamaker Trophy. (On Instagram, the clues will be on the championship’s Instagram story.)
– On Sunday, The first person to figure out the clue, find the PGA officials at the stop and show the clue on his/her phone will win a pair of PGA Championship tickets for one of the championship rounds, Thursday through Sunday. On Monday, the prize will be week-long Wanamaker Tickets. (I told you Monday was the big one.)
You can only win once. And if you show up a bit late and don’t win the tickets, you might still be able to score some PGA Championship-branded swag.
– Here are the official rules.
If you don’t win any tickets this weekend, there are still Monday and Tuesday practice round tickets available. Better than nothing, right?
Happy hunting!
