I Heart Rail Trail is back: Mark your calendar for South End’s interactive lights display

I Heart Rail Trail, Charlotte’s annual interactive lights display, is back for 2022. Five new art installations by local artists will be on display next month along the Rail Trail in South End.

When: March 4-20, 2022; artwork is illuminated at dusk each night.

Where: Along the Rail Trail in South End, with exhibitions at the following spots:

  • 1100 South (1100 South Blvd.)
  • The RailYard (1414 S. Tryon St.)
  • Dilworth Artisan Station (118 E. Kingston Ave.)
  • Atherton Mill Plaza (2102 South Blvd.)
  • Atherton Mill Lawn (2102 South Blvd.)
In 2021, the “I Heart Rail Trail: Lights” exhibit included a display called “Covid Confessionals” by Rachel Dickey.
