Things to do

Reminder: Super Abari Game Bar is now open — see y’all at the pinball machines!

Charlotte, it’s finally time to unpause the game: Super Abari Game Bar opens in its new Charlotte location on Monday, May 16.

THE BACK STORY:

  • The OG Abari Game Bar closed its spot along the border of Charlotte’s Villa Heights and Optimist Park neighborhoods during the height of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, due to redevelopment.
  • Owner Zach Pulliam said at the time that he would look for another location, but he wasn’t sure if finding a new space would be possible.
  • Then in October 2021, he made plans to open Super Abari Game Bar in Charlotte’s Belmont neighborhood.

THE NOW STORY:

And here we are — Celebrating Abari’s new life as Super Abari.
