It’s party time! Where to spend your New Year’s Eve 2022 in Charlotte

Make your New Year’s Eve plans soon if you haven’t already done so — you won’t want to miss your chance to ring in 2023 in style in Charlotte.

Options include live music events such as The Avett Brothers performing in concert at Bojangles Coliseum, high-end prix fixe dinners, hotel ballroom parties where you can dance the night away and more.

Here are a few ways you can spend your NYE 2022 in Charlotte:

Angry Ale’s

Location: 1518 Montford Dr, Charlotte, NC 28209

When: 10 a.m.-2 a.m.

Angry Ale’s is celebrating the end of 2022 and welcoming 2023 with specials including $3 Bud Lights, $6 flavored mules and featured shot every hour from 7 p.m.-midnight. A free champagne toast will ring in the new year.

The Artisan’s Palate

Location: 1218 E 36th St A, Charlotte, NC 28205

When: Two seatings, from 6-8 p.m. and 8:30 -10:30 p.m., then a New Year’s Eve party from 10:30 p.m.-2 a.m.

The Artisan’s Palate will host two, five-course dinner seatings with wine pairings on New Year’s Eve along with a special ticketed after-party, featuring a DJ, a breakfast buffet, two cocktails and a champagne toast at midnight. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best disco attire.

Price: Dinner is $125 per person, and the after-party is $62. Takeout is a la carte.

The Avett Brothers

Location: Bojangles Coliseum, 2700 East Independence Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28205

When: 8 p.m.

Spend the last night of 2022 with Concord natives The Avett Brothers at Bojangles Coliseum. The folk rock duo’s Charlotte performance will include special guest Valient Thorr.

Barcelona Wine Bar

When: Noon-midnight

Barcelona Wine Bar will be featuring a New Year’s Eve menu of luxe tapas and a complimentary midnight cava toast.

Bazal’s New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball

Location: 950 NC Music Factory Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28206

When: 9 p.m.-2 a.m.

Bazal will ring in the new year with a Masquerade Ball, featuring live music by Minutes and Years and DJ Method. Themed or black tie attire is highly encouraged. VIP admission includes a premium open bar from 9-11 p.m., plus hors d’oeuvres, sushi, champagne a live harp performance by Beste Toparlak and party favors.

Price: Remaining tickets start at $100 and go up to $1,700 for a VIP package for six people.

Black & Gold Affair

Location: Vibrations Night Lounge, 5237 Albemarle Road Charlotte, NC 28212

When: 9 p.m.-2 a.m.

DJ Huker and Olympiad will host a live broadcast on 105.3 for the Black & Gold Affair, which includes a dress code of “sophisticated and sexy.” Admission includes a free champagne toast at midnight, and Jasmine Soul Food Truck will be on hand to offer food specials.

Price: Tickets start at $40 plus fees and sales tax for general admission, with options going up to $800 plus fees and sales tax, which offers a 10-seat couch on the floor/stage.

Church and Union Charlotte

Location: 127 N. Tryon St #8, Charlotte, NC 28202

When: 5 p.m.-2 a.m.

The price changes throughout the night, with early birds getting a discount, at Church and Union’s New Year’s Eve celebration. The restaurant’s three-course meal includes a half bottle of champagne for a party of two, and a full bottle for a party of four.

Dancing will follow to the beats of a live DJ, and of course there will be a countdown as the ball drops with a champagne toast at midnight. A portion of the proceeds will go to Atrium Health Levine’s Children’s Hospital.

The prix fixe menu’s first course is a choice of:

  • Koji beet salad with achar, pistachio, radish, herb salad
  • Mushroom risotto with truffle, fine herbs, ricotta salata
  • Bone marrow with brioche, brûlée Gorgonzola, apple butter, vincotto
  • Jumbo shrimp cocktail

Entree options are:

  • Duck breast with Hoppin’ John, collards, smoked tomato chutney
  • Halibut with flageolet, romanesco, Kalamata olive vinaigrette, spinach, roasted radish
  • Filet with truffle pommes purée, broccolini, pearl onion, bordelaise
  • Anolini with burrata, tomato, basil, chicken sausage

Dessert choices are:

  • Chocolate mousse bomb with passionfruit cremeux, mango coulis, coconut shortbread
  • Grapefruit cake with champagne mousse, rosewater meringue, citrus salsa
  • House-made pretzel mania ice cream or strawberry sorbet

Price: $80 from 5-5:45 p.m.; $90 from 6-6:45 p.m; $100 from 7-7:45 p.m.; and $120 from 8-close. For a $60 upgrade, you can enjoy an open bar and buffet from 10 p.m.-2 a.m.

Cloud Bar by David Burke

Location: Le Meridien, 555 S McDowell St, Charlotte, NC 28204

When: 9 p.m.-2 a.m.

Say farewell to 2022 on the rooftop of Le Meridien hotel at Cloud Bar by David Burke, where the party will include an open bar from 9 a.m.-midnight and a champagne toast. (After that, it’s a cash bar.). You can also dance to a live DJ while enjoying a buffet of light bites.

CLTNYE

Location: South Tryon Street at Levine Avenue of the Arts

When: 8 p.m.

CLTNYE, a family-friendly celebration in Uptown Charlotte, will include food trucks, a DJ and holiday activations. Local band Mo’ Money will take the stage at 10 p.m., and a countdown to light the “Charlotte crown” at midnight will include fireworks.

Countdown at Canopy

Countdown at Canopy will be evening of celebration leading into New Year 2023. Dress to impress as you enjoy live music from The Plair Band that will get you dancing, appetizers and a champagne toast at midnight.

Dilworth Tasting Room - South Park

When: 3-11 p.m.

Dilworth Tasting Room is offering a few specials for New Year’s Eve diners. They include:

  • Market fish, with bouillabaisse, roasted fingerlings and leeks
  • 8 oz filet with shrimp and lobster cream, mashed potatoes and asparagus
  • Chocolate temptation cake with ganache and Chantilly cream

Price: Vary, as items are a la carte. The fish will be market price and the filet is $50, while the cake is $14.

Eleven Lakes Brewing

Eleven Lakes Brewing will feature live music on New Year’s Eve from Queen City Siren, playing dance songs and rock-n-roll tunes before a champagne toast at midnight.

Ever Andalo

When: 5-11 p.m.

Ever Andalo is offering a five-course dinner on New Year’s Eve, crafted by executive chef Rose Mushe and her team. (Requests for dietary restrictions will be accepted until Dec. 26.)

Price: $95 per person, plus tax and tip. Drinks are not included — wine pairings and specialty Italian cocktails will be available a la carte.

Figo36

Location: 416 E 36th St Unit 600, Charlotte, NC 28205

When: 5-9 p.m. seatings

Figo36 will offer a pre-fixe four-course dinner for New Year’s Eve that includes a wine pairing from sommelier Eric Godfrey. The menu includes:

First course:

  • Sicilian Fennel Salad with a glass of sparkling wine

Second course:

  • Kampachi Crudo or Tre Tovaglioli: confit, formaggi, crawfish

Third course:

  • Rosemary Airline Chicken or Pan-Seared Branzino with wines

Fourth course:

  • Apple and Almond Galette with crème anglaise, amaro finish

Price: Tickets are $127.50 per person (including tax + gratuity)

Forchetta

When: 5-10 p.m. for seatings.

Chef Luca Annunziata has curated an exclusive three-course menu for NYE, along with an amuse of vegetarian arancini, and plans call for a midnight champagne toast.

First course choices are:

  • Duck confit
  • Lobster and crab brule
  • Seafood medley
  • Egg raviolone
  • Kale salad

Main course options include:

  • Morish rack of lamb
  • Branzino Al Cartoccio
  • Stuffed short rib mousse angnolotti
  • Airline chicken breast stuffed with asparagus and lobster
  • Braised ham hock
  • Surf and turf, with grilled filet and roasted Maine lobster tail
  • Baked spaghetti squash

Dessert choices are:

Gala en Noire

Location: Luxe Event Venue, 10213 John Adams Road Charlotte, NC 28262

When: 7 p.m.-1:30 a.m.

Black Opulence Experience presents Gala en Noire, an all-black attire event on New Year’s Eve. Black Excellence will celebrate with elite local business owners and leaders, including door prizes, raffles and giveaways.

The mandatory black tie event will feature a night of dancing, cocktails and bubbly via bottle service, a chef’s table, butler service, cigar lounge, live band an a DJ. VIP packages that include a display of your business logo and other perks are available.

Price: $130 for general admission or $250 for couple’s admission; $350 for Gold VIP admission for two; $750 for Platinum VIP that includes a table for four; $1000 for Black Diamond VIP that includes a table for four.

Gatsby’s House

Location: Hilton Charlotte Uptown, 222 E. 3rd St., Charlotte, NC 28202

When: 8 p.m.-1 a.m.

VIPNightlife and Hilton Charlotte’s “Great Gatsby”-inspired NYE party includes five hours of prepaid drinks, along with light appetizers and party favors. A live DJ will spin a club mix of hip-hop, reggaeton and Top 40 music.

Semi-formal or cocktail attire is required. Roaring 20s attire, flapper dresses and zoot suits are encouraged.

VIP admission includes open seating, ultra-premium prepaid drinks, complimentary hors d’oeuvres from 9:30-11:30 p.m., limited exclusive access to a VIP area in the main ballroom and upgraded party favors.

Growlers Pourhouse

Growler’s Pourhouse will party into the new year on New Year’s Eve with music and dancing. A live DJ will be on hand from 9 p.m.-1 a.m., and the pub will hold a champagne toast at midnight.

Haberdish

Haberdish will celebrate New Year’s Eve with fried chicken and traditional Osetra caviar from North Carolina. The bar team will offer featured cocktails for the evening, and no detail will be spared. There will even be a special butter on the menu to pair with your fried chicken, champagne and sides.

HopFly Brewing Co.

When: 11 a.m.-midnight

HopFly is hosting an all-day, no reservation celebration of the new year. From 11 a.m.-2 p.m., you can join the New Year’s Eve Brunch + Bottles event, where the brewery will introduce two “R”-rated Imperial Stouts — one of which is a collaboration with Honeybear Bake Shop.

Starting at 6 p.m., a complimentary toast of Crunchtime Lager will happen every hour till the clock strikes midnight. Then, a champagne toast will welcome 2023.

Price: Varies. Menu items are a la carte, but drink specials will include $10 house infusions, $5 pints of Crunchtime Lager and $5 cans of 86 2022 IPA

La Belle Helene

Location: 300 S. Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28202

Like its sister restaurant Church and Union, La Belle Helene will offer a three-course prix fixe menu. The price changes throughout the night, with early birds getting a discount, and the meal includes a half bottle of champagne for a party of two, and a full bottle for a party of four.

  • Octopus a la plancha
  • Endive salad
  • Beet-cured salmon
  • Crispy sweetbreads

Entree selections:

  • Lamb shank

  • Filet mignon

La Belle Helene will also hold a late-night open bar and buffet, featuring a live DJ, festive party favors and a champagne toast at midnight to ring in 2023.

Price: $80 from 5-5:45 p.m.; $90 from 6-6:45 p.m; $100 from 7-7:45 p.m.; and $120 from 8-close. For a $60 upgrade, you can enjoy the open bar and buffet from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. For those heading only to the party, the price is $125.

Lenny Boy Brewing Co.

When: 8 p.m.-1:30 a.m.

Lenny Boy’s Oh My Bash! 2023 will feature a live auction, a three-round show from Ground Zero Wrestling and drink specials through the night — plus the event benefits The Greater Enrichment Program, a Charlotte nonprofit organization that assists students in need. ‘Another’ Food Truck will be on hand to sell food.

Price: $20, plus a $2.40 fee

Merchant & Trade

When: 7 p.m.-2 a.m.

Merchant & Trade will ring in the New Year with complimentary bubbles for guests upon arrival, music by DJ Glory, a midnight balloon drop and views of the midnight fireworks show. Guests who purchase a “Skip the Line” pass will receive quicker access to the evening’s festivities.

Price: No cover, but you can purchase a “Skip the Line” pass online for $40.

Mooresville’s 150th anniversary kick-off fireworks spectacular

Location: LangTree Lake Norman, 401 Langtree Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117

When: 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, with fireworks starting at 7 p.m. (Note: This celebration was postponed from NYE due to a forecast showing inclement weather.)

Mooresville will kick off its 150th anniversary celebration for 2023 with a family friendly event featuring a magician, photo booth, live music, food trucks, a giant soccer kick and more. A fireworks show will follow.

A free shuttle service will run continuously from Merino Mill at 500 S. Main St. and The Cove Church at 197 Langtree Road to LangTree Lake Norman, starting at 4 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m.

North Harbor Club

When:

North Harbor Club is offering a three-course New Year’s Eve prix fixe dinner that includes one glass of complimentary champagne for guests 21+.

Appetizer choices include:

  • Pistachio Crusted Brie with fresh cranberry chutney and toasted ciabatta bread
  • Lobster Mac-n-Cheese with cavatappi pasta, mascarpone cheese and truffle oil
  • Beet Salad with goat cheese, toasted pistachios and white balsamic vinaigrette.

  • Carolina Lump Crab Cakes with creamed corn, sauteed spinach and chipotle tartar

Petra’s New Year’s Eve lineup includes an eclectic mix of live music. Hear country crooners Sinners & Saints, jazztronica from Cosmic Collective and hip hop by Indigo Jo, plus selector extraordinaire Probably Will on the back patio.

Pins Mechanical Co.

Pins Mechanical is celebrating the new year with a champagne toast at midnight, and it’s open into the early hours of 2023.

Red Salt by David Burke

Red Salt by David Burke will offer a three-course prix fixe menu on NYE 2022. The regular menu will not be offered.

First course choices are:

  • Tuxedo scallops with Tru!e risotto and herb butter
  • Pastrami smoked salmon with warm brioche, American caviar and chive creme fraiche
  • Duck confit spring roll with pickled Asian vegetables and plum sauce plus Black Truffle Soup with a phyllo nest and sauterne cloud
  • Gazpacho salad, radish, cucumber, tomato, jalapeno, red pepper, scallions, arugula and champagne vinaigrette
  • Venison consomme with goat cheese and mushroom ravioli and leek fondue

Entree options are:

5 oz filet and King crab with mushroom and potato gratin, and Pinot jus

Stuffed Dover Sole with lobster-fennel-mascarpone purple rice and chive sauce

When: 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

The Bar at Supperland is hosting a New Year’s Eve party, complete with food and music. Tickets include two drinks, all you can eat small bites and a champagne toast. (Additional drinks available a la carte.) DJ Ahren Chandler will spin the tunes starting at 9 p.m., when guests arrive. Make sure you dress to impress — cocktail attire is suggested.

Price: $189 per person, plus tax and tip

Make reservations: Tickets will be available Monday, Nov. 28. Space is extremely limited — there’s only room for about 40 people.

U.S. National Whitewater Center

Location: 5000 Whitewater Center Pkwy, Charlotte, NC 28214

When: 11 p.m.-1 am.

Race into 2023 with the U.S. National Whitewater Center’s New Year’s Eve trail race. Recover Brands race shirts are guaranteed to those who pre-register on or before Dec. 20. Note: Headlamps are required, and packet pickup is Dec. 30, 5-7 p.m.

Price: Pre-registration is $32 for 5K and $37 for 5-mile race. Day-of registration is $37 and $42, respectively. Parking is $6.

Winter Wonderland at Trolley Barn Fermentory

When: 10 p.m.-1 a.m.

Trolley Barn Fermentory’s Winter Wonderland bash on NYE 2022 will include a dance party with DJ Philly, access to signature cocktails and champagne bottles for purchase, plus a selection of themed hors d’oeuvres. At the end of the evening, you’ll find a countdown and ball-drop viewing, midnight champagne toast and takeaway gifts.
