Take a dip in the Quarry at Carrigan Farms. How to book a reservation for open swim season.
If you’re looking for a unique spot to cool off this summer, a popular Lake Norman area swimming spot will be back open for the season soon.
Located about 30 miles outside of Charlotte, the Quarry at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville will be open to swimmers starting next week, and reservations are already open.
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing day in the water or an adventurous summer excursion, the quarry will be open for swimmers of all ages to dive or rope swing in. Guests will also be able to catch and release fish in the ponds with their own gear during open swim season.
For the upcoming open swim season, Carrigan Farms will also offer food, drinks and desserts with a rotating menu at its farm-to-table restaurant, such as the Quarry Burger, scratch-made pizza and ice cream.
Lifeguards are on duty during open swim, and all visitors entering the water must wear a life jacket unless they pass the farm’s swim test.
Open Swim begins at the quarry the weekend of May 20. In June, the quarry will be open daily.
