Eat, Drink & Flamingle at McNinch House in memory of the Charlotte restaurant’s founder
McNinch House founder Ellen Davis loved her uptown Charlotte restaurant, and she also loved flamingoes.
And so, one day ahead of National Pink Flamingo Day, McNinch House has planned a special event in memory of Davis, who died in January.
Make your reservation for the cocktail, wine and hors d’oeuvres indoor/outdoor event.

Davis bought the Fourth Ward home in 1978 and turned it into a restaurant about a decade later. The 30+-year-old McNinch House is now a Classic Eats favorite among Charlotteans, which is exactly how Davis intended it.
“Our world is so fast today, when you come in here, you can slow down and really enjoy,” she told CharlotteFive’s Jennings Cool in 2019. “Everyone is busy, busy, busy. I want people to take a step back and wonder, ‘What is that place over there?’ You don’t want to miss out on something this wonderful.”
