What to know about Drake
Born Audrey Drake Graham in Toronto, Canada, Drake was an actor on a Canadian teen series called “Degrassi” until 2008.
He released first mixtape, “Room for Improvement,” in 2006. The hit was followed by a single titled “Replacement Girl,” which featured Trey Songz, leading to further Drake’s exposure, as it was featured on “106 & Park,” a BET music video show.
The rap star later went on to sign to Lil Wayne’s label, Young Money, where he released “Thank Me Later,” which boosted the artist to “international stardom.” Following “Thank Me Later,” Drake released “Take Care,” which won the Grammy Award for best rap album.
