Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour is getting a concert film. Will Charlotte make an appearance?
If you missed out on Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour — or if you want to revisit the concert extravaganza — you’ll soon have another chance to experience the show.
This August, fans across the region came to see the international superstar perform at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte for her only show in the Carolinas as part of her world tour, which took her to major cities across the U.S. and around the world.
Now, you’ll be able to continue the Summer Renaissance and see Beyoncé’s Energy on the big screen with the new documentary.
“‘RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ’ accentuates the journey of RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR, from its inception, to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri,” the documentary description says. “It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft.”
From behind-the-scenes footage to onstage performances with fans in the stand, the documentary will highlight the five-month tour that brought out more than 2.7 million Beyhive fans decked out in platinum cowboy hats, body glitter and sequins. So there’s a chance the Charlotte show — where Beyoncé performed her newer songs and classic hits as the first female artist to ever headline a standalone concert at Bank of America Stadium — will be featured.

“Be careful what you ask for, ‘cause I just might comply,’” Beyoncé said in a caption teasing the documentary trailer in a social media post.
The film will be released in theaters Dec. 1, with some pre-shows beginning Nov. 30. Tickets start at $22 and can be purchased online through AMC Theatres, Cinemark, Regal Cinemas and Fandango.
