Craving a warm and fuzzy experience? Charlotte’s cat cafes might just be the perfect — or purrfect, if you will — place to sip on your favorite coffee or cider while cuddling with adorable, adoptable kittens.

In places like NoDa, Monroe and Rock Hill, cat cafes offer a relaxing way to enjoy a coffee or snack while meeting cats and kittens that need a home. These laid-back spots provide a chance to unwind with furry friends, whether you’re considering adoption or just looking for some company.

So if you’re looking to say “hello” to a new furry friend, here are some cat cafes in the Charlotte area that you don’t want to miss:

If you’re not ready to adopt, feel free to visit and play while you enjoy drinks like coffee, beer, wine and soda, along with pastries

.Note: Children ages 3 and up can visit during weekend kitten time with a 30-minute reservation.

Cost: $10 per hour in the cat lounge and $8 for 30 minutes.

Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

Purrfect Pair Cafe

Location: 1125 N Anderson Rd #101, Rock Hill, SC 29730

Purrfect Pair Cafe, now open in Rock Hill, collaborates with Forte Legato for coffee and the Humane Society of York County for the cats. The idea began in 2021, when founder Inga Carey wanted to create something positive for the community after losing her parents. Inspired by fostering a stray cat and visiting cat cafes across the country, she partnered with her best friend, Kallie Cromer, to bring the vision to life.

You can grab items such as coffee, teas and refreshers, and even a frappe or slushy for your pet.

Note: Children 15 and younger must have an accompanying adult with them.

Cost: $10.50 for 30 minutes and $15.75 per hour. Or, you can grab a membership for $50 a month, which would allow you to visit for an hour every day.

Hours: Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, from 10 a.m-8 p.m.
