If you’re new to Charlotte and you like to golf you’re in for a treat.

The region is home to lots of really good golf courses, including some very expensive and exclusive private clubs like Quail Hollow Club, which annually hosts a PGA event, as well as Piper Glen, Ballantyne Country Club, Carmel Country Club, Raintree and Pine Lake (and we could go on).

But we wanted to mention some of the best public or semi-private tracks that anyone can play. This isn’t a top 10 list, though, and we wanted to include a variety of price points and difficulty levels.

Note: Prices shown are for a golfer riding in a cart and are subject to change. Contact the individual course directly for the latest fees. Most courses listed also offer discount rates for seniors. Friday rates are often higher than weekend rates.
