How many rollercoasters on one pass? Carowinds announces big deal for 2026 season
Carowinds is bringing the Carolinas together next year and much more. A new offer from the Charlotte-area amusement park will combine access to more than 40 sites across North America.
Six Flags Entertainment Corporation will allow 2026 season pass holders at Carowinds into any of the company’s 42 parks across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, Six Flags announced Monday.
Customers will have access for the rest of the 2025 season, too, if they purchase passes between July 30 and Sept. 1. The promotion comes one year after the merger of Six Flags and Cedar Fair, the former Carowinds’ parent company.
A 2026 season pass would provide access, according to Six Flags, to 288 roller coasters on 133 miles of track across its properties. There’s another 970 water slides, 282 famly rides, 234 pools and 913 special events like SCarowinds or WinterFest.
Carowinds is a 400-acre amusement and water park split between Charlotte and Fort Mill in South Carolina. The state line runs through the main entrance to the park. Some of the closer Six Flags properties included in the new promotion are Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags White Water near Atlanta, and Kings Dominion near Richmond, Virginia. Outside the region, there are seven parks in California, four in New York, three in Canada and two in Mexico.
For the ongoing season, Carowinds added several new features, including new children’s rides and a swim up bar for adults. Snoopy’s Racing Railway opened as the park’s first family launch coaster, followed by a water ride right beside it with Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast.
