Experience magic up close in Charlotte with new immersive show from London
Blumenthal Arts has something up its sleeve: An immersive magic show from London that will make its North American debut this fall in Charlotte.
“The Magicians Table” — a tableside, close-up magic experience — will open in November at Blume Studios, Blumenthal Arts said Monday.
It’s the latest immersive experience from Blumenthal Arts, which is focused on growing those shows. Blumenthal opened its $2.5 million immersive entertainment venue last year in the former Charlotte Pipe & Foundry site in west Charlotte near uptown.
Here are four things to know about “The Magicians Table” coming to Charlotte:
What is ‘The Magicians Table’?
The premise of the show is that friends and fellow performers will gather to celebrate the life of showman Dieter Roterberg after his untimely passing. The evening includes love, loss, mystery and surprises.
What to expect
A pre-show lounge will open the event with signature cocktails and sleight-of-hand magicians and mentalists mingling through the crowd.
Roterberg’s private performance will then run for two hours with live music, illusions, comedy and storytelling, with magicians performing both tableside and on the main stage.
How to see ‘The Magician’s Table’
“The Magicians Table” will play Nov. 19-Jan. 11 at Stage 2 at Blume Studios at 904 Post St.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8. Prices start at $79.99.
