Which Charlotte roads will close for the Around The Crown 10K? See the map

Uptown Charlotte will look a little different this Sunday as runners take over part of the city for the annual Around the Crown 10K.

The race will kick off on Sunday, Aug. 31, at 7:30 a.m., and participants will loop around Interstate 277 through several uptown streets.

With many streets closing, drivers can expect significant delays and plan for alternate routes.

Here’s what you need to know.

What roads are closed for Around the Crown 10K?

The following roads will be closed on the day of the race from 7-9 a.m.:

• West Palmer Street at South Church Street 
• South Church Street at West Morehead Street
• South Church Street at West Good Samaritan Way 
• West 11th Street at North Church Street 
• North Church Street at West Ninth Street
• North Church Street at West Sixth Street
• West Fifth Street at North Irwin Avenue
• Johnson and Wales Way at West Fourth Street
• West Fourth Street at South Graham Street
• South Graham Street at South Main Street

Interstate 277 inner lane and South Mint Street will also be closed to traffic from 2:30 a.m.-noon on Aug. 31.
