Fourth of July in Charlotte: Where to celebrate, regional events, parades
As the Fourth of July holiday approaches, communities across the Charlotte region are preparing for a mass of celebrations filled with parades, live entertainment, fireworks and family-friendly activities as residents gather to celebrate one of the nation’s most recognized holidays.
Throughout Charlotte and surrounding areas, several events are scheduled in the days leading up to Independence Day, giving residents multiple ways to celebrate close to home.
Upcoming Fourth of July celebrations in the Charlotte area include:
- June 27: Town of Troutman Independence Day Parade - downtown Troutman, 11 a.m.
- July 3: Town of Matthews Independence Day Celebration - downtown Matthews, 5-8:30 p.m.; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
- July 4: Charlotte Stars and Stripes Spectacular - Truist Field, 5:30 p.m.
- July 4: Town of Midland Independence Celebration - Rob Wallace Park, 4 p.m.; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
- July 4: Fourth of July Extravaganza in Kannapolis - Atrium Health Ballpark, 5:30 p.m.
- July 4: Birkdale Village Fourth of July Celebration - Huntersville, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
