Looking for a summertime adventure with your family? N.C. By Train is offering a special $5 kids fare to travel the rails from Charlotte to Raleigh all summer. Stops along the corridor include High Point, Greensboro, Burlington, Durham, Cary and Raleigh.

Through Aug. 31, travelers can book one-way tickets for children ages 2-12 for $5 ($10 for a round trip) with the purchase of a regular price adult ticket.

The special fare is valid for travel on the Piedmont and Carolinian trains within North Carolina.

BLACKOUT DATES: Tickets cannot be booked for these dates: June 17, June 22, July 1 and July 4.
