The boutique hotel holds a lot of history in Charlotte

The historic building was home to Ivey’s department store for 90 years before closing in 1990. But in 2017, the historic building was transformed and given a new life as a boutique hotel with more than 40 rooms, a fitness center, library and cocktail lounge, The Charlotte Observer previously reported.
