Businesses will begin opening soon in a new Wake County development.

Sweetwater Town Center in Apex is still under construction, but some sections are complete.

Located off Richardson Road near Highway 64, the mixed-use development includes housing and commercial space.

Dozens of businesses, including restaurants, medical clinics, retail and a grocery store, have signed leases. The first businesses will begin opening soon, with all expected to open by the second quarter of 2025, leasing agent Preston Waldo of Retail Strategies of N.C. told The News & Observer in an email.

Here’s what to know about the tenants coming to Sweetwater. This list will be updated as we learn more.

Which businesses will open first?

Three tenants located east of Richardson Road will open soon, Waldo said:

  • Fratelli’s Delicatessen (1481 Richardson Road, Suite 107): The deli’s online menu shows breakfast options including sandwiches, burritos and bowls, plus typical hot and cold sandwiches such as reubens, BLTs, Italians and clubs.
  • Duke Health: Duke Primary Care is opening a new practice.
  • Sweetwater Dental: (1481 Richardson Road, Suite 111) This practice is led by Dr. Srinivas R. Mandala.
