You picked these restaurant patios as the Top 2 in Charlotte. Which is best?

Summer has arrived, which means it’s officially patio season in Charlotte.

There’s nothing like soaking up the sun while sipping and schmoozing over a great meal outside — and the city’s food scene does not disappoint.

Offering waterfront views, luscious garden spaces and chic urban dining, Charlotte’s restaurants and bars serve up great outdoor areas to grab a bite.

After compiling nominations of your favorite dining patios, we’ve curated a list of some of the top spots in the area. Now, it’s time to put it to a vote to determine the best of the best.

Here are the details:

Round 5 will determine the winner. It will be live until noon July 12.

*Note: This is not a scientific poll or survey. If you have more than one favorite, you are welcome to refresh the poll and submit a second vote. Restaurants owned by companies with more than 100 locations worldwide and past Readers’ Choice winners were disqualified.

The Bottle Tree

Location: 102 Davis St, Belmont, NC 28012

The Bottle Tree, known for its globally-inspired dishes made with seasonal Southern ingredients, is located about 25 minutes outside of Charlotte in Belmont.

The restaurant — nestled on a midcentury ranch formerly home to the Belmont mayor — has a dining room, wine cellar and its newly renovated patio space known as The Garden.

Designed like a “vibrant oasis,” the outdoor dining area has two distinct dining sections — one under a pergola with cobblestone flooring and another garden portion with lounge chairs. There’s also a fire pit and a stage for live music on Saturday afternoons from local artists. Guests can enjoy sipping on craft cocktails and beer or wine over a bite to eat under the pergola or walk up to the bar to order handhelds in The Garden.

“Thank you guys so much for all the support — we really appreciate it. We’re excited to have you out to experience our patio,” general manager Taylor Daniel said.

Oh My Soul

Location: 3046 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205

Oh My Soul, which sits in one of NoDa’s original mill homes, is the first 100% vegan restaurant in the city’s art district.

The cafe offers a “taste of Africa” with plant-based dishes, craft cocktails and South African wine in its colorful space and patio, decked out with several murals.

String lights and picnic tables surrounding the outdoor bar called The Watering Hole are used for live music performances on the weekends, trivia nights and other events. Dogs are welcome on the 150-seat patio. In fact, “they are VIPS,” co-owner Tallulah Duffin said.

“Thank you to everybody who has supported us these past four and a half years,” co-owner Richard Duffin said.
