Who has the best holiday displays in the Charlotte area? Nominate your neighbor — or yourself!
Editor’s note: Voting is underway, from now until noon Dec. 19. Make sure to vote for your favorite home here!
The holiday season is here, which means it won’t be long before Charlotte will be decked out in festive decor and twinkling lights.
Of course, you can always count on finding over-the-top light displays at Carowinds, U City Lights, Speedway Christmas and more this time of year in the Charlotte area.
But you can’t forget the local neighborhoods and homes that go all out with creative Christmas displays, too, with giant inflatables, string lights, Christmas trees and other yard decorations.
Each year around this time, our team fans out to find the very best homes with the most festive holiday lights and displays around town. Now, we need your help.
Nominate the best holiday display around Charlotte
If you’ve found an impressively decorated holiday house (or yard!) in Charlotte, Lake Norman, Gastonia, McAdenville, Fort Mill or any other surrounding area, email us a photo of the lights along with the address of the home at charlottefive@charlottefive.com.
After we compile all the nominations, we’ll ask you to vote for your favorite display and publish the results throughout the holiday season.
In addition to our planned feature on the winner and a runner-up, this year, we have an extra-special gift to pass along to the winner: Charlotte Motor Speedway has offered to give the winner a free Express pass to Speedway Christmas along with a $100 gift card to the Speedway Club for them to enjoy dinner before taking in the show.
