Who has the best sandwiches in the Charlotte area? Vote in Round 2 of our contest

Charlotte has plenty of crave-worthy sandwiches, and we’re one step closer to finding the best place to get them.

On March 2, CharlotteFive invited readers to share their favorite sandwich shops in and around Charlotte. We reviewed your nominations and also asked our staff to recommend the local delis and restaurants that couldn’t be missed.

We started with 36 nominees, and now we’re down to the Top 20 sandwich shops you love the most. Below, you can vote for your favorite.

There are more than the 18 sandwich shops we’d planned to choose from in this round due to ties. This is a fun contest and not a scientific poll, so you can refresh this page and vote more than once. Here’s what to know about future rounds of the contest:

• The second round will determine the Top 8. It will be live from about 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 until noon Friday, March 13.
• The third round will determine the Top 4. It will be live from about 1 p.m. March 13 until noon Monday, March 16.
• The fourth round will determine the Top 2. It will be live from about 1 p.m. March 16 until noon Wednesday, March 18.
• The fifth round will determine the winner. It will be live from about 1 p.m. March 18 until noon Friday, March 20.

To be eligible, nominees had to have a “location in the Charlotte region — which includes surrounding areas such as Lake Norman, Gastonia, Matthews, Mint Hill and Fort Mill — and have fewer than 20 locations nationwide.
