Let these short international flights from Charlotte Douglas International Airport be your next getaway

There are more than 180 destinations you can reach from Charlotte’s airport, served by more than 20 airlines. Travel as close as Greensboro (25 minutes of scenic cruising) to as far-off as Munich, Germany (8 hours and 35 minutes in an airliner) and never suffer the indignity of a layover. Pack up the passport, there’s no need for a visa to these international destinations.

Toronto, Canada (YYZ) Flight time: 2 hours

Take Canada’s largest city by storm and visit the iconic CN Tower. On a clear day, you can see the United States to the south and Niagara Falls. Next, head up to the SkyPod where you will be 135 stories over the city or brave the EdgeWalk and hang 116 stories above the ground.

Montreal, Canada (YUL) Flight time: 2 hours, 15 minutes

Visit the Underground City, or RÉSO, with its pedestrian network right under the central business district which links metro stations to shopping plazas, restaurants, food halls, commercial complexes and residences over a 20-mile radius. Convenient and climate-controlled, it’s perfect to visit year-round.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (PLS) Flight time: 3 hours

Have an adventure of a lifetime with a horseback ride on the beach. Take a short ride on the white sand beaches and into the turquoise sea with experienced equestrians. Prior riding experience is not required to ride off into the sunset or to enjoy a morning trek to create a unique experience.

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ) Flight time: 3 hours, 25 minutes

Inside Manatí Park, the first theme park in the Dominican Republic, visit Dolphin Island Park. Get the opportunity to have direct contact with and go swimming with dolphins in the sea. In addition, enjoy jet boat rides and snorkeling with sharks and manta rays as part of this remarkable experience.
