New on DVD/Blu-ray

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’

This third installment in the Katniss Everdeen saga is my personal pick for “Worst Movie of 2014,” but only because it’s not a complete movie – there’s no beginning and there’s no end. Problem is, we’re all on the hook at this point, and the only way to get to Part 2 (which is actually Part 4) is through Part 1. Confused yet?

Visual Art

‘Bowl With the Checkers’

Sat 1:30-6 p.m. Strike City, 210 E. Trade St., EpiCentre. $35. www.gocheckers.com.

Chances are good that you’ll never play hockey with a member of the Charlotte Checkers. But if you want to bowl a few frames with one ... This charity event will team you with five other participants – including a Checkers player – for two games. Bring your checkbook (for the silent auction), but leave your skates at home.

Music

Fleetwood Mac

Sat 8 p.m. Time Warner Cable Arena, 333 E. Trade St. $63.66-$203.90. www.timewarnercablearena.com.

Some people say that Fleetwood Mac was not Fleetwood Mac without Christine McVie, and now those people can say that Fleetwood Mac is Fleetwood Mac again. She’s back, with Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Stevie Nicks, so for fans, all is right with the world.

Storytelling

Garrison Keillor

Sun 7 p.m. Belk Theater, 130 N. Tryon St. $25-$64.50. 704-372-1000.

The Charlotte area already has Lake Norman and Lake Wylie, but the radio host of public-radio program “A Prarie Home Companion” will transport Charlotteans to Lake Wobegon for the evening.

TV

‘Night of Too Many Stars’

Sun 8 p.m. Comedy Central.

Jodi DiPiazza, left, and Weird Al" Yankovic perform at Comedy Central's "Night of Too Many Stars: America Comes Together for Autism Programs" airing, Sunday 8 p.m.
