Charlotte’s Triple-A minor-league baseball team plays an exhibition game against its parent club to kick off its second season at the uptown stadium. The squads last faced off at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill on April 1, 2010.

‘Mysteries of the Unseen World’

National Geographic’s documentary is running in the museum’s IMAX theater, illuminating things too small to be seen without powerful lenses or advanced photography.

The Ziad Jazz Quartet pays homage to Joe Pass, considered one of the greatest jazz guitarists of the 20th century. Featured guitarist for these shows is Andre Ferreri; selections include “Joe’s Blues,” “Catch Me” and “C.E.D.”
