‘Minions’

Tue 7.7 Minions Stuart, Kevin and Bob are recruited by Scarlet Overkill (voiced by Sandra Bullock), a super-villain who – alongside her inventor husband, Herb (Jon Hamm) – hatches a plot to take over the world.

GET PASSES: “Minions” (rated PG) opens July 10, but a promotional screening of the animated family comedy will take place in south Charlotte at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Charlotte Observer is giving away 75 admit-two passes to this screening; pick up a maximum of two pairs beginning at 8 a.m. Monday in the lobby of the Charlotte Observer building, 600 S. Tryon St., while supplies last.
