Priscilla Presley to reveal film of Elvis wedding, home life at Mooresville show

“An Intimate Evening with Priscilla Presley” is scheduled June 15 at 6 p.m. at the Mooresville Performing Arts Center, 161 S. Magnolia St. Doors open at 5 p.m., and tickets range from $35 to $55, according to the center website.

“Priscilla Presley is finally going to tell HER story of the years with the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley,” according to the announcement on the center’s website.

She met the King when she was 14, and they “were inseparable” until he died in 1977, according to the announcement. Elvis was 42 when he died of heart failure at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee.

She will share private home movies of their life at home, on vacation and “intimate time off” both together and with their only child, Lisa Marie Presley, who died in 2023.

Other clips are from Priscilla Presley’s film career and her five years starring on the TV series, “Dallas.”

The film clips that she’ll reveal during the hour-plus appearance “have been private to her,” according to the announcement.

She’ll speak of Elvis as a husband and a father, and the challenges she faced being married to the rock ’n’ roll icon.

The audience can ask questions at the end of the show.
