The inaugural festival – included with park admission – features 10 brands of craft beer, live music and various booths that will serve smoked beef, pork and poultry (food and beverages sold separately). Musical guests are Natty Boh Duo (noon-4 p.m.) and Tony Barnes (5-9 p.m.). The festival continues Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 16.

Charlotte’s original Latin party band, Bakalao Stars, teams up with D.C.-based Spanglish rock act Kickoman. Both bands trade in reggae and ska, colorful Spanish hip-hop, bursts of rock guitar and bouncy tunes.
